07/05/2022TEXT: At 50a Princess Street Palmerston North, on 7 May 22, about 0303 hours, MP
arrested O1 for using a class B sunstance namely MDMA.

0245 hoursMP1 and MP2 were conducting a 3W IVO The Daily Bar on Berrymans
Lane, Palmerston North CBD.
Whilst there MP1 and MP2 observed O2 being kicked out of The Daily Bar by security
staff for using MDMA. O1 followed O2 out of the club and down Berrymans Lane
towards Main Street, turning left onto Main Street and walking towards Princess
Street.
MP1 and MP2 followed O1 and O2 IOT question O1 IRT his association with O2.
MP2 stopped O1 outside 50a Princess Street, Palmerston North, and began 4Q with
O1 IRT O2.
Whilst this was occuring NZ Police 10/7 P, POC is listed as W. W dealt with O2 and
eventually arrested him for possession of MDMA. W remained present whilst MP2 and
MP1 dealt with O1.
0302 hoursMP2 asked O1 “Have you had MDMA this evening?”
O1 answered “Yes”.
0303 hoursMP2 placed O1 under arrest for taking MDMA. O1 was afforded his BoR
and Caution and placed into mechanical restraints.
0310 hoursMP2 commenced ROI with O1.
0320 hoursMP2 concluded ROI with O1 due to lack of O1 interaction and beligerant
behaviour.
0325 hoursMP1 conducted a body search of O1 before placing him in the back seat of
U1. Nothing was found on O1 other than his personal belongings.

CO RRNZA granted MP2 verbal permission to conduct a reasonable cause UT under
caution on O1.

MP1, MP2, MP3 and MP4 heard a loud cracking noise in vicinity of U1.
Simultaneously MP3 was located near Muzzos Autos, Main Street. He observed a
male who was identified as soldier, PTE

wing mirror.

wing mirror of U1.
As MP1 questioned the male, MP3 approached S1. He asked why he had punched
the wing mirror, to which S1 stated “I did not do it.”

MP1 and MP3 discussed a course of action for S1 and MP3 instructed MP1
to arrest S1 for destruction of service property.
0330 hrsMP1 searched S1 and placed him in mechanical restraints
MP1 read S1 his BOR + Caution.
S1 wished to exercise his right to speak to a lawyer. No record of interview was
