whether in the Ministry of Health, or Medsafe, or other; who had primary responsibility for

individual/department who would receive all post-marketing information (as per the Gazette
requirement [54]).

Your request is refused under section 9(2)(g)(ii) to maintain the effective conduct of public affairs
through the protection of Ministers, members of organisations, officers, and employees from
improper pressure or harassment. However, I can confirm that Medsafe is the regulator with
whom this information was sent to.
2. Please confirm all dates post-marketing information was sent to the above
individual/department during this time period.”
On 26 April 2023, Manatū Hauora contacted you in accordance with section 18B of the Act to
advise that your request, as currently worded, covers a very large volume of information and may
be refused under section 18(f) as the information requested cannot be made available without
substantial collation or research. I have considered whether charging or extending the time to
compile the information would enable us to respond. However, I do not believe it is in the public
interest to do so. Therefore, your request is refused under section 18(f) of the Act, as the
information requested cannot be made available without substantial collation or research.
You were given the opportunity to refine the scope of your request in order for Manatū Hauora to
provide information you are interested in.
As Manatū Hauora has not received a response from you to date, this part of your request has
been refused under section 18(f) of the Act. The Ministry remains open to responding to a
manageable request in the future.
Under section 28(3) of the Act, you have the right to ask the Ombudsman to review any decisions
made under this request. The Ombudsman may be contacted by email at:
[email address] or by calling 0800 802 602.
