Thank you for your email of 31 March 2023 to New Zealand Trade and Enterprise (NZTE), 
making a request under the Official Information Act 1982 (the Act).  
 
Answers to your questions are as follows. 
 1.  What role is considered the "hiring manager"? Is this always the GM Investment, or does it 
sit with the person doing the recruiting (Investment Directors and Managers)? 
•  The ‘hiring manager’ refers to the person who is responsible for the hiring of the role 
which directly reports into their position. The GM Investment is the hiring manager for 
their direct reports which includes some of NZTEs Investment Director positions and 
NZTEs Investment Directors are the ‘hiring managers’ for any of their direct reports. 
 
2.  A breakdown of the jurisdictions in which the 7 Agencies undertook recruiting work.
