OIA 22-23-44: NZTE’s Live Deals Platform Thank you for your email of 17 April 2023 to New Zealand Trade and Enterprise (NZTE),
making a request under the Official Information Act 1982 (the Act). You requested the following
information:
I noted you have a NZTE's Live Deals platform.

Can you please provide all the name of company that are currently on your platform and the
date they have been entered to your platform. What is your process of accepting company to
your platform, please share any application form or policy/procedure you are currently using.
Answers to your questions are as follows.
Companies on Live Deals Platform
The full list of Live Deals is withheld under the following sections of the Official Information Act:
• 9(2)(b)(ii) would be likely unreasonably to prejudice the commercial position of the
person who supplied or who is the subject of the information.
Access to the platform is restricted to qualified investors and investment opportunities are
registered through the NZTE Investment Team.

Zealand (nzte.govt.nz), NZTE takes reasonable efforts to protect personal information we hold
from loss, misuse, and unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. We do this
by:
• Providing access to NZTE qualified investors only.
• Requiring investors to undergo an authentication process to access Live Deals.
• Partnering with industry-leading security services to secure our platforms.
• Storing user information in securely hosted cloud databases.
• Ensuring multiple privacy and security compliance frameworks and certifications are
met, like GDPR, HIPAA and HITECH.

Live Deals Listing Procedure
All deals are submitted to NZTE’s Investment Committee and assessed prior to being listed on
Live Deals. Local and international wholesale investors can register to become a qualified
