Thank you for your request through the FYI website of 2 May 2023 to the Ministry of Business, Innovation
and Employment (MBIE) requesting, under the Official Information Act 1982, the following information:
Please supply me with an Excel spreadsheet containing all rental bond data covering the time
period 1 January 2022 to the current date, where:
1. Each row represents either one bond lodged or a bond that was topped up because the rent
was increased.
2. The SAU location ID is any of the fol owing:
- 208800 (Flaxmere West)
- 209000 (Lochain Park)
- 209100 (Flaxmere Park)
- 209200 (Flaxmere South)
- 224900 (Wembley Park)
- 225100 (Whanganui East-Williams Domain)
- 235600 (Playford Park)
- 215000 (Marewa East)
- 215300 (Maraenui)
- 214800 (Onekawa East)
- 239100 (Titahi Bay North)
- 240200 (Postgate)
- 220100 (Stratford North)
- 220300 (Stratford Central)
- 220400 (Stratford South)
3. The columns are:
- The SAU location ID
- The type of property (house, flat etc)
- The number of bedrooms in the property.
- The date the bond was lodged.
- The rent price per week of the property the bond was lodged for.
- An indicator to show if the row is a new bond lodgement or an existing bond topup.
Please find attached an excel spreadsheet relating to your request. As requested, this information covers
bond payments lodged from January 2022 onwards for the areas specified, separating them into
payments for new bonds and existing bonds.
Please note there are some limitations on the information MBIE is able to provide due to the way bond
information is recorded in our system. We are unable to provide the weekly rent at the time that each
bond payment was processed, only the current weekly rent is recorded as of the date this information
was extracted. Dwelling type, number of bedrooms and weekly rent is based on the information provided
on the bond lodgement form at the time of lodging the new bond, or payment to an existing bond.
If you wish to discuss any aspect of your request or this response, or if you require any further assistance,
