4. The total number of places that could be offered to the programme: 
The number of places available reflects the number of students that were admitted (answer 2B 
above).  As these results show, the number can vary from year to year but is generally around 
190.  It depends on several factors, including the number of clinical placements available (a factor 
outside our control), the number of returning students in the programme, and the number of 
students returning after a leave of absence.
