Thank you for your email
of 22 June 2023 requesting the fol owing information under the Official
Information Act 1982 (the Act):
Could you please provide a list of dates of all the governance meetings of the National Ticketing
Solution project that have taken place from 1 January 2020 through to the present day that have
occurred, as wel as any scheduled future meetings of the governance group led by NZTA (or that
NZTA facilitate or are a part of along with your local government partners in the project)?
Could you also provide please a copy of the agenda and minutes of the meetings that have taken
place since 1 January 2020 as well.
On 21 July 2023, we extended the deadline to respond to your request by 20 working days, to 18
August 2023.
I can advise that Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency has made a decision to release the information
that falls within the scope of your clarified request to you without undue delay. We expect to be in a
position to provide this to you before the end of September 2023.
During this time, Waka Kotahi wil be finalising the information for release. Please note that certain
information wil be withheld under the provisions of the Act, including – but not limited to –
• Section 9(2)(a) – to protect the privacy of natural persons, including that of deceased natural
persons.
• Section 9(2)(b)(i ) – to protect information where the making available of the information would
be likely unreasonably to prejudice the commercial position of the person who supplied or who
is the subject of the information.
• Section 9(2)(g)(i) – which allows for the withholding of information to maintain the effective
conduct of public affairs through the free and frank expression of opinions by or between or to
Ministers of the Crown or members of an organisation or officers and employees of any
department or organisation in the course of their duty.
I do note that we have extended the timeframe for making a decision on your request by a
considerable length of time and appreciate your ongoing patience while we finalise the response to
your request.
Please note that a significant proportion of the information in scope of your request is publicly available
