Thank you for your email of 22 June 2023 requesting the fol owing information under the Official
Information Act 1982 (the Act):

Could you please provide a list of dates of all the governance meetings of the National Ticketing
Solution project that have taken place from 1 January 2020 through to the present day that have
occurred, as wel  as any scheduled future meetings of the governance group led by NZTA (or that
NZTA facilitate or are a part of along with your local government partners in the project)?

Could you also provide please a copy of the agenda and minutes of the meetings that have taken
place since 1 January 2020 as well.

I have numbered each part of your request and wil  answer each in turn.

1.  Could you please provide a list of dates of al  the governance meetings of the National
Ticketing Solution project that have taken place from 1 January 2020 through to the
present day that have occurred as wel  as any scheduled future meetings of the
governance group led by NZTA (or that NZTA facilitate or are a part of along with your local
government partners in the project)?

The fol owing document falls within the scope of your request and is attached:

•  Attachment 1: List NTS Steering Group & Governance Board Meeting Dates

2.  Could you also provide please a copy of the agenda and minutes of the meetings that have
taken place since 1 January 2020 as well.

The documents listed in the enclosed schedule fal  within the scope of your request and are attached.

Certain information has been withheld under the following sections of the Act:

•  9(2)(a) to protect the privacy of natural persons.

•  9(2)(b)(ii) which al ows for the withholding of information to protect information where the making
available of the information would be likely unreasonably to prejudice the commercial position of
the person who supplied or who is the subject of the information.
•  9(2)(g)(i) to maintain the effective conduct of public affairs through the free and frank expression of
opinions by or between or to Ministers of the Crown or members of an organisation or officers and
employees of any public service agency or organisation in the course of their duty.

Certain minutes for NTS Steering Group and NTS Governance Board meetings have previously been
released under the Act and are available here on our website: www.nzta.govt.nz/about-us/official-
information-act/official-information-act-responses/.

The OIA response titled “National Ticketing Solution” on 31 July 2023 contains the minutes for NTS
Steering Group meetings. The OIA response titled “National Ticketing Solution and its governance
board” on 14 September 2023 contains the minutes for the NTS Governance Board meetings.

Therefore, I am refusing these parts of your request under section 18(d) of the Act because the
information is publicly available.

With respect to the information that has been withheld, I do not consider there are any other factors
which would render it desirable, in the public interest, to make the information available.

Under section 28 of the Act, you have the right to ask the Ombudsman to review my decision to
withhold this information and refuse part of this request. The contact details for the Ombudsman can
be located at www.ombudsman.parliament.nz.

In line with Waka Kotahi policy, this response wil  soon be published on our website, with personal
