Thank you for your request made under the Local Government Official Information and Meetings 
Act 1987 (the Act), received on 26 June. You requested the following information: 
•  all correspondence from Naomi Steenkamp (260 Southernthread Road) and Pam Olver 
(380 Hawkins Hil  Road) to better understand the amount of time and expense that has 
had to be spent unnecessarily by Council processing and/or fol owing up vindictive, 
frivolous and vexatious complaints about any neighbor of theirs in the Long 
Gully/Southernthread Road/Hawkins Hill Road Brooklyn community, and the impact it has 
had on their victims. 
 
Wellington City Council has refused your request for information. 
 
The information you have requested has not been provided under section 7 (2)(a) of the Act 
because the withholding of the information is necessary to protect the privacy of natural persons. 
 
You are welcome to resubmit a request with a designated time frame and request information 
specific to addresses and we can consider releasing information to you. Please note that any 
documents released would likely be redacted in line with privacy provisions in the Act.

If you are not satisfied with the Council’s response, you may request the Office of the Ombudsman
