Public Relations Spend 
 
Thank you for your request made under the Local Government Official Information and Meetings 
Act 1987 (the Act), received on 4 July 2023. You requested the fol owing information: 
•  A list of Public Relations firms that Wellington City Council have engaged from January 1st 
2020 through to 30th June 2023 and the total amounts spent with each firm. 
 
Wellington City Council has granted your request for information. 
 
Teams around the organisation were consulted and the only team with expenditure relating to a 
public relations firm was the Communications & Engagement team who engaged the services of 
Blackland PR to create the Communications Strategy. 
 
Total spend was $25,875.00. 
The period of engagement was 31 January – 11 August 2022. 
 
Right of review 
If you are not satisfied with the Council’s response, you may request the Office of the Ombudsman
