Request for information 2023-186
I refer to your request for information dated 11 July 2023, which was received by Greater Wel ington
Regional Council (Greater Wel ington) on 11 July 2023. You have requested the fol owing:
“Could you please provide me with information on any analysis or internal discussion undertaken
within GWRC of NZ Transport Agency research report 609, Quantifying the economic and other
benefits of enabling priority bus egress from bus stops (February 2017), and any communications on
the subject of this report between GWRC and NZTA/Waka Kotahi.”
Greater Wel ington’s response fol ows:
According to our records Greater Wel ington was not on the steering group and did not provide
assistance, conduct any analysis, or have any internal discussion on this report. We have also not
been in communication with Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency (Waka Kotahi) regarding the report.
Therefore, we have refused your request under section 17(g)(i) of the Local Government Official
Information and Meetings Act 1987 (the Act) on the basis that that the information requested is not
held by Greater Wel ington and we have no grounds for believing that the information is held by
another local authority or a department of a Minister of the Crown or organisation.
If you have any concerns with the decision(s) referred to in this letter, you have the right to request
an investigation and review by the Ombudsman under section 27(3) of the Act.
