I refer to your information request dated 19 July 2023 made under the Official Information Act 1982 
(the Act). You have requested:  
 
“the Grade Distribution for the Otago FINC102 paper and final exam, for semester 1, 2023.” 
 
 
Subject to the following comments, please find attached the information you have requested:  
 
• 
The mark and grade distributions are the total mark for the paper and include results of 
assignments, mid-term and final examinations. 
• 
The final examination marks provided are out of a possible 60 marks.  Final examination 
information is held in marks rather than percentages and these marks are used to calculate 
the overall paper mark and grade. 
• 
In the attached grade and mark distributions, we note that students who withdrew from the 
paper are excluded from the data.
