OFFICIAL INFORMATION ACT REQUEST 23.69 Meeting minutes
I refer to the Official Information Act (the Act) request dated 30 July 2023 for information relating to meeting
minutes. You have specifically requested:

For the following committees, could you please provide the minutes of all meetings held so far in 2023
by the following committees:

Academic Administration
•
Teaching and Learning
As requested, please find the information attached. Please note in accordance with the requirements of the
Official Information Act, redactions have been applied to the documents citing the relevant sections of the Act.
Staff member’s names have been redacted under s 9(2)(a) of the Act, to protect the privacy of natural persons.
Information which is commercial sensitive or would enable another entity to gain competitive advantage have
been withheld. You will appreciate that the delivery of tertiary sector services is a competitive environment
therefore, the University must protect this information. These redactions are pursuant to section 9(2)(b)(ii).
The Committee meetings are an opportunity for staff members to express their views in a forum which
enables the exchange of free and frank expression. Such expression has been redacted under section 9(2)(g)(i)
It is important that staff members are able to debate and discuss matters freely in order to achieve the
Univerisity’s strategic outcomes.
You have the right to seek an investigation and review by the Ombudsman of this decision. Information about
