CHRISTCHURCH INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT LIMITED (CIAL)
1. We write further to our email of 18 August 2023, acknowledging receipt of your OIA
request (the
Request) of 16 August 2023 seeking information (if held by CIAL) in
relation to the professors’ science briefing to Christchurch City Council.
We have answered your Request in this letter and for completeness, we set out your
Request below:
Request: Received 16 August 2023 – Professors’ science briefing to
Christchurch City Council
“I’d like to see any emails, meeting notes or documents which mention or relate to
the briefing profs Higham, Hayward and Noy gave to Christchurch City councillors
this year.”
2. We assume you are referring to the talk (briefing) whereupon the three
abovementioned professors (who are part of a group of researchers, collectively
known as the ‘Informed Leaders’ group), addressed Christchurch City Council (
CCC)
on 15 February 2023.
3. CIAL has viewed a recording of the above deputation to CCC and the presentation
slides used. CIAL can confirm there are documents in existence which relate to the
abovementioned briefing as follows - emails which we hold that mention Professors’
Higham, Hayward or Noy are
attached (as well as the presentation slides).
Individual’s names and contact details have been deleted under section 9(2)(a) as
has information that was out of the scope of your Request.
4. There are no additional ‘meeting notes’ or ‘documents’ which specifically relate to
your Request. As such, CIAL is not in a position to provide you with information
which simply does not exist.
5. We trust we have answered your requests for information. If you require any further
information or if we have in some way misinterpreted your Request, please let us
know.
