CENTRAL OTAGO
Project Oscar remains a long-term project under the “Expand our Horizons”
dimension of H30. The prima facie case established and verified by PwC in 2019
has been strengthened by the work undertaken subsequently which establishes a
series of “irrefutable facts”.
•
CIAL continues to engage with a specific stakeholder & community
engagement workstream. Activity for the quarter includes:
- Several information papers have been completed and posted on the
Central Otago Airport website to help inform people about different aspects
of the project
- CIAL & CCHL will provide an update to Council in early August in a public-
excluded meeting
•
CIAL is currently finalisation the planning and documentation for a public
release of further information and community days in Central Otago –
expected to happen by the end of August
