Official Information Act request regarding Warkworth-Wellsford rainfall. 
I refer to your request for information under the Official Information Act 1982 (OIA) dated 
29 August where you requested: 
1.  Any readings/data you have regarding daily or weekly rainfall amounts from July 
2022 to July 2023 in the Warkworth-Wellsford Areas and if this is not available 
the removal of the nearest locations’ rainfall data.  
 
The MetService does not have any weather stations in the requested areas. However, 
the Auckland Council have several sites in the area, with records publicly available via 
their Environmental Data Portal (https://environmentauckland.org.nz/Data). 
 
Alternatively, NIWA have sites at Warkworth and Leigh, with rainfall records publicly 
available via CliFlo – the National Climate Database (https://cliflo.niwa.co.nz/). 
 
You  have  the  right  to  seek  an  investigation  and  review  by  the  Ombudsman  of  this 
decision.  Information  about  how  to  make  a  complaint  is  available  at
