Convoy Documents 
 
Thank you for your request made under the Local Government Official Information and Meetings 
Act 1987 (the Act), received on 3 October 2023. You requested the fol owing information: 
1.  I would like to request any diary meetings between the Mayor and members of his office 
between February 6th and February 8th, 2022, inclusive regarding the anti-vaccine mandate 
convoy.  I would like any documents generated prior (agendas, briefings etc) and after any 
meetings during this period.   
 
2.  Any documents prepared for attendees prior to the 9th of February meeting attended by 
the mayor and other senior council staff regarding the protest, and any documents that were 
generated by the meeting. 
 
Wel ington City Council has refused your request for information. 
 
Question 1 - I would like to request any diary meetings between the Mayor and members of his office 
between February 6 and February 8 inclusive regarding the anti-vaccine mandate convoy.  I would 
like any documents generated prior (agendas, briefings etc) and after any meetings during this 
period.   
After investigation I can confirm the Mayor, alongside members of his office, held no meetings 
between the dates requested regarding the anti-vaccine mandate convoy. We are  therefore 
refusing this part of your request under section 17(e) of the Act because the requested information 
does not exist. 
 
Question 2 - Any documents prepared for attendees prior to the 9th of February meeting attended 
by the mayor and other senior council staff regarding the protest, and any documents that were 
generated by the meeting. 
After investigation I can confirm no documents were either prepared or generated relating to this 
meeting on 9 February 2022. 
We are therefore refusing this part of your request under section 17(e) of the Act because the 
requested information does not exist. 
 
Right of review 
If you are not satisfied with the Council’s response, you may request the Office of the Ombudsman 
to investigate the Council’s decision. Further information is available on the Ombudsman website,
