I refer to your email of 26 September 2023 in which you request the following under the Official
Information Act 1982 (OIA):
1- I would like to request a list of vacancy (ministerial appointment only, e.g. board member,
Lay member, Trustee etc) that the nomination period has been closed but still under
consideration by the MFAT or relevant Minister.
In your list, can you please included the date that vacancy been advertised, what method
you have used to publicly advertise the position, how many application you have received
and when the vacancy been closed as well.
2- Also, I would like to know if you have any future opening in 2024. e.g. the position that
will call for nomination in the year of 2024.
Your requests have been numbered for ease of reference. Please note the information below is
accurate as of 11 October 2023.
In response to the first part of your request, we can advise that there are no vacancies for
ministerial appointments where the nomination period has been closed, but appointments are
still under consideration by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade (MFAT) or one of our
responsible Ministers.
In response to the second part of your request, we can advise that eight positions on the Public
Advisory Committee on Disarmament and Arms Control (PACDAC) will be advertised in 2024.
