, you emailed Whaikaha Ministry of Disabled People (Whaikaha)
requesting, under the Official Information Act 1982 (the Act), the following information:
I would like a breakdown of the funding provided to staff employed within policy roles
for tertiary study or papers in the nature of that for degrees, masters degrees, or
professional legal studies (profs), broken down by type of study, and amounts by year
for the financial years 2020/21, 2021/22, 2022/23 and for the current financial year up
to 1 September 2023.
Whaikaha was established on 1 July 2022, and does not hold the information you are
seeking, prior to its establishment. We are providing you with information for the
2022/2023 and 2023/24 financial years to 1 September, and have interpreted your
request as payment of enrolment fees for tertiary level study.
For the 2022/23 financial year, Whaikaha contributed to a Masters in Public Health. This
was for a 50% contribution for two papers totalling $1771.70.
For the 2023/24 financial year, Whaikaha contributed to one paper for a Masters in
Public Health with a 50% contribution, totalling $1152.75.
