Thank you for your email of 4 October 2023 in which you requested: 
 
1.  A list of vacancies (ministerial appointment only) that the nomination period has been 
closed but stil  under consideration by the Ministry of Justice or relevant Minister and, 
2.  Any future opening in 2024 
 
Your request has been referred to me for response, as it falls within my responsibilities as Chief 
Legal Counsel and is being managed in accordance with the provisions of the Of icial Information 
Act 1982 (the Act). 
 
Regarding point 1, I can confirm there are no appointments presently in this category. 
 
Regarding point 2, I am assuming you are once again referring to ministerial appointments. As 
appointment processes for these positions are conducted at the direction of the responsible 
Minister, decisions about any advertising or nomination processes to be run in 2024 have yet to 
be taken. Therefore, I am refusing this part of your request under section 18(e) of the Act on the 
grounds that the information does not exist or cannot be found.
