Thank you for your email on 17 October 2023, asking for the following under the Of icial
Information Act 1982 (the Act):
“I have been told by a pathologist that I am on a list of doctors held by Pathlab in the
MidCentral DHB whose patients are considered ineligible for funded lab tests because we
work with integrative medicine, sometimes called natural, complimentary or holistic
medicine. I hold an APC and my patients are eligible for funding elsewhere in the country. I
request all information relating to this list: who has compiled the list, which other doctors are
on the list and the minutes of any meetings that have been help relating to this list of
doctors.”
Te Whatu Ora Midcentral does not currently contract with Pathlab for pathology services. As such,
your request is refused under section 18(g) of the Act, as the information is not held by Te Whatu
Ora.
