I refer to your request for official information of 15 November 2023 as follows:  
1.  List  the  salary  level  of  successful  applications  by  department  for  the  general  staff  salary 
review process between the years 2021, 2022 and 2023. 
2.  List the salary level of total applications by department for the general staff salary review 
process between the years 2021, 2022 and 2023. 
Under the Official Information Act 1982 (OIA) the University of Waikato (University) has given 
due consideration to your request and provides the attached information. 
1.  List of the salary level of successful applications by department for the general staff salary 
review process (GSSR) for the years 2021 and 2022.    
2.  List of the salary levels of applications by department, for the GSSR process for the years 2021 
and 2022. By way of explanation, areas have been grouped to protect the privacy of persons 
under section 9 (2) (a) of the OIA. 
3.  Information regarding the 2023 successful applications and total applications is refused under 
section 18 (e) of the OIA as the information requested does not exist. By way of clarification, 
the GSSR process for 2023 has not yet concluded and the number of applications could change 
during the process.   
You  have  the  right  to  seek  an  investigation  and  review  by  the  Ombudsman  of  this  decision.
