Dear Felix
OFFICIAL INFORMATION ACT REQUEST 2023/108
On Tuesday 21 November 2023 you made a request under the Official Information Act 1982 (the
OIA) for the following information:
I understand there is a survey sent to voting place staff after the election. I would like to
make an OIA request for the analysis and report of the 2020 and 2023 surveys.
(I am not requesting the individual responses to the surveys.)
Please find attached the consolidated review for the 2020 General Election.
The Commission is still undergoing the review process for the 2023 General Election and will be
completed by early 2024. Therefore, this part of your request is denied under section 18(e) of the
Act. We will provide you with the consolidated review for the 2023 General Election when it has
been completed.
In the interests of transparency, we release responses to Official Information Act requests every 3
months. We will publish this response with your personal details redacted.
You have the right under section 28(3) of the Act to make a complaint to the Ombudsman if you are
not satisfied with the response to your request. Information about how to do this is available at
www.ombudsman.parliament.nz or by phoning 0800 802 602.
Yours sincerely
