Thank you for your request to Manatū Hauora (the Ministry of Health) on 23 November 2023 in
response to a previous request (H2023031997 refers). You requested:
“…you have provided a list of board that wil have vacancy for 2024. Can you please
specify how many vacancy that wil be for each of the board you have listed and exactly in
which day that the member's term wil expired. Also, may I kindly ask what stage is the
End of Life Choice Review Committee recruitment is currently at? how many you have
shortlisted and interviewed.”
Please find appended to this letter a spreadsheet which lists in order of board name, all
positions that are currently:
• filled by an appointee who is serving past their term expiry,
• filled by an appointee whose term will expire in 2024,
• vacant.
Please note that recruitment activity may not necessarily take place for all of these positions in
2024, however we have provided this information in order to share as much detail with you as
possible. As you are already aware, the Ministry publicly advertises for statutory roles on
Manatū Hauora careers website when recruitment activity is undertaken.
In regard to the End-of-Life Choice Review Committee, the application period has closed. At this
stage six candidates have been shortlisted for Ministerial consideration. No interviews have
taken place at this point.
