Thank you for your request of 27 November 2023 to the Ministry of Business, Innocation and 
Employment (MBIE) requesting the following information under the Official Information Act (OIA): 
 
I request under the Official Information all information that may be useful to the public or a future 
government on the national income insurance scheme. Significant public funds have been spent of policy 
work and this should be retained so that a future government doesn't have to pay for the work again 
should it wish to proceed with this policy. I'm happy for this to be a zip file. 
 
On 4 May 2023, MBIE released all advice relating to the previous Government’s proposed New Zealand 
Income Insurance scheme. These documents are publically available at the following link: Document
