Response
The New Zealand site of batch release wil only release batches for distribution in New
Zealand once the sponsor has verified that the shipping temperature profile meets
specifications
Under section 18(f) of the Act, this material cannot be supplied without substantial collation as
there has been several hundred deliveries and the same batch included in different deliveries.
However, Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is able to release the data from the last three
deliveries to the Christchurch and Auckland Distribution and Storage Warehouses on 23 July 2022
(Ref 5016) and 10 September 2022 (Ref 5018 and 5019):
• Pfizer provide remote temperature monitoring throughout the delivery of vaccines from the
manufacturing site to New Zealand.
• On delivery of the vaccines to the New Zealand warehouses the temperature loggers are
stopped and the vaccines transferred to the Ultra Low Temperature (ULT) freezers.
• Pfizer then send confirmation that the vaccines are released for use and the temperature
reports are made available.
• The temperature reports are checked by the warehouse quality team and Health New
Zealand | Te Whatu Ora quality representatives and kept on file.
Provide Periodic Safety Update Reports according to the same schedule as required by the
EMA.
Please see the attachment for the reports, information has been redacted under section 9(2)(a) of
