Thank you for your email on 11 December 2023, asking for the following which has been
considered under the Official Information Act 1982 (the Act). Please see outlined below a
response to each part of your request.
This request is directed specifically toward CE Margie Apa Talofa lava Margie, Earlier this
month you have made definitive statements about the claims of the vaccine data
whistleblower, such as these below....
"What he is claiming is completely wrong and il -informed and his comments demonstrate
this,"
"Basically that he had information that suggested there were excess mortalities due to the
Covid vaccine that were not reported, and purported to have made connections to data that
proved that, which is not true."
“The misinformation about vaccines that has been put in the public arena in relation to our
data is completely wrong.”
Can you please provide the supporting evidence that you used to make the definitive
statements that the claims of the whistleblower are “completely wrong”, “il formed”, “not

Response
Supporting evidence is provided to Margie Apa from reliable resources such as the COVID-19
Vaccine Technical Advisory Group which provided science advice and recommendations on the
use of the COVID-19 vaccination. The list of professionals who made up the technical advisory
group are listed in the link below. Despite the CV TAG now being disestablished these
professionals are stil available for updated advice and discussion as required.

There have also been several studies that have consistently shown that New Zealand had one of
the lowest, if not the lowest, excess mortality and COIVID-19 death rates in the world.
