Thank you for your email of 18 December 2023 requesting the following information under the Official
Information Act 1982 (the Act):
1. Copies of all briefing papers and advice provided to ministers discussing to the review into
Kainga Ora announced on 18 December 2023.
2. A list of all meetings held between Ministry of Housing and Urban Development officials
and ministers, chief executives of other agencies or their officials where the review of Kainga
Ora was discussed. For each meeting, please provide the date, titles and agencies of the
people involved and a brief description of what aspects of the review were discussed.
The independent review into Kāinga Ora – Homes and Communities will report to the Government
by the end of March 2024. The reports and associated advice will be released at that time. As such,
the first part of your request is refused under section 18(d) of the Act, that the information requested
will soon be publicly available.
The following table lists all the meetings Te Tūāpapa Kura Kāinga – Ministry of Housing and Urban
Development (HUD) attended last year with Ministers or other agencies that discussed the review.
