I refer to your information request dated 20 December 2023 made under the Official Information Act
1982 (the Act). You have requested information in relation to waitlists for the 2021, 2022 and 2023 (if
possible) Bachelor of Oral Health (BOH) programmes.
We note we contacted you 10 January 2024 to clarify whether there were any specific categories of
admission you were interested in receiving the information for. Your response of 10 January 2024
clarified that you were interested in the receiving the information for the Two or More Years of
University Study General and Graduate General categories.
Please see below our response to your request.
We note that no applicants were waitlisted for entry to the 2021, 2022 or 2023 BOH programmes via
the 2 or More Years of University Study General category, nor the Graduate General category. On that
basis, we decline your request pursuant to 18(g) of the Act, as the information requested is not held
by the University of Otago. We have no reasonable grounds to believe that it is held by, or more
closely connected with the functions of, another agency subject to the Act.
If you are not satisfied with our response to your information request, section 28(3) of the Act
provides you with the right to ask an Ombudsman to investigate and review this response. However,
we would welcome the opportunity to discuss any concerns with you first.
Yours sincerely
