Thank you for your email of 21 December 2023 to the Ministry of Business, Innovation and
Employment requesting, under the Official Information Act 1982 (the Act), the fol owing:
1. Could you please advise how many applications for Talent (Accredited Employer) Residence
visa are lodged in last six months?
a. Is there any priority and non-priority queue classified on this category? If yes, what's
the criteria for this?
2. What is the average wait time for an application to be allocated to an Immigration Officer
under this category, also please advise latest unallocated application received to date?
3. What is the average processing time (in days) for this visa application once it has been
allocated to an IO?
4. Please advise the total approved application on last six month on a table on a monthly basis
and their lodged dates.
Our Response
Question 1: Could you please advise how many applications for Talent (Accredited Employer) Residence
visa are lodged in last six months?
As at 24 January 2024, there were 24 applications for Talent (Accredited Employer) Resident Visa
applications lodged between 24 July 2023 and 24 January 2024.
Question 1.a: Is there any priority and non-priority queue classified on this category? If yes, what’s the
criteria for this?
Criteria for prioritisation are determined by immigration instruction A16.1, with applications generally
being processed in lodgement date order.

Question 2: What is the average wait time for an application to be allocated to an Immigration Officer
under this category, also please advise latest unallocated application received to date?
As at 24 January 2024, the average time for a Talent (Accredited Employer) Resident Visa application
to be al ocated to an immigration officer is 16 weekdays.

Question 3: What is the average processing time (in days) for this visa application once it has been
allocated to an IO?
As at 24 January 2024, the average processing time for a Talent (Accredited Employer) Resident Visa
application after allocation to an immigration officer is 22 weekdays.
