[FYI request #25273 email]
Tēnā koe John
Thank you for your email to Oranga Tamariki-Ministry for Children (Oranga Tamariki),
which was received on 21 December 2023, requesting documents around the use of
English in Government Public Service Organisations. You request has been considered
under the Official Information Act 1982 (the Act).
You have requested:
Please provide all information, including emails, memos, business cases, letters of
expectation, et al related to steps that Oranga Tamariki may be taking to give effect
to the policy of the new Government that public service organisations should have
their primary name in English, and should communicate primarily in English.
Oranga Tamariki have not received any Government policies or directives regarding the
use of English across the public service. Therefore, your request is declined under
section 18(e) of the Act, as the information does not exist.
Oranga Tamariki may make the information contained in this letter available to the public
by publishing this on our website with your personal details removed.
