December 2024 with follow up questions to previous OIA responses provided to you. For ease of

understand the following point: "NOTE the consequences of the Gender Diversity". Could
you please provide an explanation of this noted item from the minutes provided in the
emails.
The final part of the sentence you are referring to appears to be missing in the document provided
to you on 19 December 2023. The sentence should have read:
Note the consequences of the
Gender Diversity Policy and Agree that NZR should receive this new investment when compliant. This is in reference to our
National Policy for Gender Equity in Governance. The Board of each
qualifying partner must have at least 40% as self-identifying women (“the requirement”).

We have reconsidered the redactions made on pages 50 to 54 in our initial response to you on 28
November 2023. The information was withheld under commercial sensitivity, but upon reflection it
was noted that some of that information is already publicly available on the High Performance
Sport New Zealand websit
e (HPSNZ announces $131 million direct investment in sports - HPSNZ).
After further consultation, we have decided that the information that was not already publicly
available is not sensitive and can be released in full. Please find the unredacted version of those
pages attached as Appendix One.
