Dear Neonlightsupermarket

I refer to the Official Information Act request dated 3 January 2024 for information relating to LAWS and LLAW
paper stats. You have specifical y requested:
Would you be able to provide for the fol owing courses in 2022 and 2023:
•
(1) every 300-level LAWS or LLAW paper,
•
(2) the five 200-level LAWS papers (LAWS202-LAWS206),
•
(3) the three 400-level Honours papers (LAWS410, LAWS420 and LAWS430)
The following data:

(1) The number of students who completed the paper,
•
(2) The grade distribution for students' final scores (broken down by final marks after rounding, e.g
90/100, 86/100), and
•
(3) The mean and median final marks for the paper. [Use if extending time limit to make a decision]
The OIA requires that we advise you of our decision on your request no later than 20 working days after the
day we received your request. Unfortunately, it wil not be possible to meet that time limit and we are
therefore writing to notify you of an extension of the time to make our decision, to 27 February 2024.
This extension is necessary because, owing to staff il ness, consultations necessary to make a decision on your
request are such that a proper response cannot reasonably be made within the original time limit.
You have the right to seek an investigation and review by the Ombudsman of this decision. Information about
how to make a complaint is available at www.ombudsman.parliament.nz or freephone 0800 802 602.
Yours sincerely
