Thank you for your email of 14 January 2024 to the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment
requesting, under the Official Information Act 1982 (the Act), the fol owing:
I would kindly like to receive the full email address list of all Accredited Employer in NZ.
On 12 February 2024, we emailed you to:
• Advise that providing the information you requested would likely take a significant amount of
time, and
• Offer the list of accredited employers, which is readily available and releasable.
Because we did not receive a response from you, your request remains unchanged.
On 13 February 2024, we extended the time available to us to respond to your request and advised
that a decision on your request would be made on or before 27 February 2024.
Our Response
MBIE is therefore refusing your request under section 18(f) of the Act, as the information requested
cannot be made available without substantial collation or research.
In accordance with section 18A of the Act, I have considered whether fixing a charge under section 15
or extending the time limit under section 15A would enable the request to be granted, but it is my
view it would not.
However, we have decided to release the list of accredited employers (as at 25 January 2024), which
we have attached as an appendix.
You have the right to seek an investigation and review by the Ombudsman of this decision. Information
about how to make a complaint is available at
www.ombudsman.parliament.nz or freephone 0800
802 602.
If you wish to discuss any aspect of your request or this response, please contact
[email address].
