Request made under the Official Information Act 1982
Thank you for your email of 16 January 2024 requesting the fol owing information under the Official
Information Act 1982 (the Act):
You have previously provided traffic count data associated with the Auckland Harbour Bridge
(AHB). Under the OIA please can you now provide 15 minutes count data (with Light & Heavy split
if available) for stations 01N19424 and 01N29424 covering the SB and NB flows on the AHB. If
there are any caveats on the use of this data please provide this.
If data from these monitoring locations is not available please substitute it with comparable data
from nearby stations and provide your assessment on the reliability of any substitute data.
This should be in the same Excel format as you have previously provided and extend from 27/7/23
until 16/1/24 (or the latest date available).
Please also provide details of any closures / restrictions and movable barrier positions and times
for the same period.
The fol owing attachments fall within the scope of your request and are enclosed:
• Attachment 1: AHB Traffic Count Data 1 August 2023 to 31 January 2024
• Attachment 2: Moveable Lane Barrier Shift Data 27 July 2023 to 31 January 2024
• Attachment 3: AHB Overnight Closure Data 1 July 2023 to 31 January 2024
With regard to the traffic count data from 27 July to 31 July 2023, this was provided in a previous
response [OIA-13192 Response refers]. Therefore, the data provided in attachment 1 is from 1 August
2023 to 31 January 2024.
In line with NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi (NZTA) policy, this response wil soon be published on
our website, with personal information removed.
