Thank you for your Official Information Act 1982 (OIA) request of 9 February 2024, in
which you requested:
Under the OIA may I please request all text communications, if any, between
Police Commissioner Andrew Coster and Ginny Andersen between 1st
January 2023 and 30th November 2023.
You wil find copies of the text messages you requested enclosed. Please note that some
information within these text messages has been withheld under the fol owing sections of
the OIA:
•
6(c) as the making available of that information is likely to prejudice the
maintenance of the law, including the prevention, investigation, and detection of
offences, and the right to a fair trial
•
9(2)(a) to protect the privacy of natural persons
•
9(2)(j) to enable a Minister of the Crown or any department or organisation
holding the information to carry on without prejudice or disadvantage,
negotiations (including commercial and industrial negotiations).
Police considers the interests requiring protection by withholding the information are not
outweighed by any public interest in release of the information.
