[FYI request #25787 email]
Dear Lee
Request for information
Thank you for your Official Information Act 1982 (OIA) request of 10 June 2024, in which
you asked for clarification on a previous response (IR-01-24-5821) regarding whether
Police has a Data Universal Numbering System (DUNS or D-U-N-S) number.
I can confirm that the response I provided to you on 6 March 2024 was incorrect. Police is
aware that there is an entry on Dun & Bradstreet but cannot comment on the accuracy of
the information held by that company.
Please accept my apologies for this error.
You also requested:
Is it not correct that Police/Crown Agents are fiduciaries pursuant to the
Secret Commissions Act 1910 ss 5 and 16?
Police does not hold information on what entities are “fiduciaries pursuant to the Secret
Commissions Act 1910.” This part of your request is therefore refused under section
18(g) of the OIA, as the information is not held.
You have the right to seek an investigation and review by the Ombudsman of this
decision. Information about how to make a complaint is available at
www.ombudsman.parliament.nz or freephone 0800 802 602.
Yours sincerely
