Dear Mr.Carnachan,
I refer to your official information request dated 29 February 2024 for RDC spend on Teitei social
housing scheme. You have been sent a letter of extension dated 27 March 2024 and this applies
to question 1.
How much money has RDC spent in total on the Teitei Drive social housing
schemein Ohakune, (including all staff time allocated to the project)?
In response to question
2. I request copies of all emails, text messages and briefing papers
sent/received by RDC staff and councilors relating to Kainga Ora's announcement yesterday (Feb
28) that it is cancelling the Teitei Drive social housing scheme. Note - this is internal
correspondence so is not to be passed off to other agencies Ms Flonk.
We have decided to refuse your request for information which relates to your question set
out above under Section 17(d) of the Local Government Official Information and Meetings
Act. The information requested is publicly available and you are referred to:
• The letter from Kāinga Ora to the community dated 28 February; this was received by
Council at 09:46AM and published to Kāinga Ora’s website Teitei-Drive-community-update-
28-Feb-2024.pdf (kaingaora.govt.nz)
• The statement was shared verbally with Elected Members at its 10AM 28 February Council
Meeting and you are referred to the recording of the live stream
