Thank you for your email of 4 March 2024 to the Ministry of Education (the Ministry), which you 
clarified on 18 March 2024 to be for the following information:  
Can I please request all information relating to the decision to build the additional 
permanent two storey teaching block at Rolleston College (currently under construction on 
the Goulds Road side of the college) 
All KEY correspondence relating to the building of the new teaching block 
Your request has been considered under the Official Information Act 1982 (the Act).  
I acknowledge that the Ministry has extended the timeframe for responding to you, on the grounds 
that consultations were required to make a decision on your request. Unfortunately, due to an error 
in the processing of the response, we have been unable to finalise the documentation and 
complete necessary consultations to support the release to you. I apologise unreservedly for this 
delay and commit to providing the information to you as soon as possible. 
You have the right to ask an Ombudsman to review the delay in responding to your request, in 
accordance with section 28 of the Act. You can do this by writing to Office of the Ombudsman,
