Thank you for your email of 13 March 2024 to the Ministry of Businesss, Innovation and Employment

May I ask how you called for public nomination and on what platform you have call for public
nominations e.g. govt.jobs website. Also, how many applications you have received from the
public and how many you have received from other nominating agencies such as TPK or Ministry
of women etc for each of your role. Also, how many vacancy you had for each of the role and
when you anticipate the process wil finish.
I have considered your request under the Act.
Electricity Rulings Panel
There was one vacancy on the Electricity Rulings Panel, which was advertised on the MBIE website,
Seek.co.nz and Jobs.govt.nz. There were nine applications for the role. No nominations from nominating
agencies were recieved.
Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority
There are three members whose terms are expiring on the Energy Efficiency and Conservation
Authority. The roles were advertised on the MBIE website, Seek.co.nz and Jobs.govt.nz. There were 71
applications for the role. 4 nominations from the Ministry for Ethnic Communities and 60 nominations
from the Ministry for Women were recieved.
Electricity Authority
There was one vacancy on the Electricity Authority, which was advertised on the MBIE website,
Seek.co.nz and Jobs.govt.nz. There were 37 applications for the role. 2 nominations from the Ministry
for Women and 1 nomination from the Ministry for Ethnic Communities were received.
Electrical Workers Registration Board
There was two vacancies on the Electrical Workers Registration Board, which were advertised on the
MBIE website, Seek.co.nz, Jobs.govt.nz, LinkedIn and the New Zealand Law Society. There were 12
applications for the roles. No nominations from nominating agencies were received.
The timelines for appointment processes are subject to Ministerial decision-making.
