[FYI request #26175 email] Dear Ohakune Ratepayers and Residents Society Inc,
I refer to your official information request dated 20 March 2024 Teitei – what changed in budget
blowout / affordability.
The LGOIMA requires that we advise you of our decision on your request no later than 20 working
days after the day we received your request. Unfortunately, it will not be possible to meet that time
limit and we are therefore writing to notify you of an extension of the time to make our decision, to
29 May 2024.
This extension is necessary under section 14(1) (a) and (b) of the LGOIMA Act.
- the request is for a large quantity of official information and necessitates a search through a large
quantity of information and meeting the original time limit would unreasonably interfere with the
operations of council.
- consultations necessary to make a decision on the request are such that a proper response to the
request cannot reasonably be made within the original time limit
.
Although the reason for this extension would not apply to this individual request council has decided
to group requests for the same or similar information related to the Teitei Drive development from
multiple requestors.
You have the right to seek an investigation and review by the Ombudsman of this decision.
Information about how to make a complaint is available at
www.ombudsman.parliament.nz or
freephone 0800 802 602.
Yours sincerely
Maggie Flonk
