We have interpreted your request as seeking requests from external media to ACC regarding avocado
injuries and the subsequent response from ACC.
Our response
Please find attached the correspondence between ACC and external media individuals for the years 2019 to
2023. This is as far as our records go. We have also provided to you ACC’s proactive response of 2021.
Staff names have been removed as they are out of scope of your request. Some information have been
withheld under section 9(2)(a) of the Act, to protect privacy. In making this decision, we have considered
the public interest in making the information available and have determined that it does not outweigh the
need to protect the privacy of these persons.
