Thank you for your email of 1 April 2024 requesting, under the Of icial Information Act 1982 
(the Act), information related to the appointment of District Court Judge Marinovich. 
Specifically, you requested: 
 
I am seeking details relating to the judicial appointment of Justin Marinovich.  
In particular, please confirm when the expression of interest for judicial appointment 
was received. If possible, please produce a copy of this expression of interest.   
 
In response to your request, the information you request would be held by the At orney-
General’s Judicial Appointments Unit, which supports the At orney-General in the 
appointment process for District Court Judges. I must advise, however, that the Attorney-
General, in her role as the Senior Law Officer, is not subject to the Act and any information 
the Appointments Unit holds on her behalf is likewise not subject to the Act.
