Thank you for your Official Information Act 1982 (OIA) request of 9 April 2024. You
requested:
Please provide the number of meetings/communications between NZ Police
and Chloe Swarbrick between October 2023 and April 3rd 2024.
Please provide the dates of the communication/meetings if any.
On 5 April 2024, you were contacted by Police to refine your request. You agreed to the
following refinement:
Can you please refine the search to the following keywords/topics/subjects.
Security, theft, safety, Auckland CBD, crime, shoplifting, police patrols.
One meeting was conducted on 1 March 2024 between the local MP Chlöe Swarbrick
and Inspector Grant Tetzlaff, who was new to the role of Area Commander for Auckland
Central Area. The purpose of this meeting was a “meet and greet”. Notes from the
meeting include considering Police signage on how to contact the Police and an issue
with people drinking on Day Street on Fridays and Saturday nights.
Another introductory meeting was held between the local MP Chlöe Swarbrick and the
acting Auckland City District Commander, Inspector Sunny Patel on 7 February 2024 at
8:30am -09:30am.
