Your Official Information Act request
Thank you for your email of 11 April 2024 to the Ministry for Ethnic Communities (the
Ministry) requesting information under the Official Information Act 1982 (the Act).
Specifical y, you requested:
1) How did the Ministry call for public nominations, and on what platform i.e.
govt.jobs website.?
2) How many applications were received from the public?
3) How many applications were received from other nominating agencies i.e. TPK
or Ministry of women?
4) How many vacancies were there in total?
5) When does the Ministry anticipate that the [recruitment] process will finish?
On 22 March 2024, the Ministry published an Expression of Interest (EOI) for people
interested in becoming a panel member for the Ethnic Communities Development Fund

Facebook), and was included in the 3 April 2024 Nominations e-newsletter. The deadline for
the EOI was 8 April 2024.
As of 11 April 2024, the Ministry received 70 applications from members of the public in
response to the EOI. No applications were received from other nominating agencies. There
were four vacancies, and the recruitment process is anticipated to finish in July 2024.
