Official Information Act request relating to the decision on reporting Pacific data in 
Child and Youth Wellbeing Strategy and Child Poverty Related Indicators 
 
Thank you for your request made under the Official Information Act (the Act), received on 26 
April 2024. You requested: 
 
“Please provide copies of all advice and correspondence, including summaries of 
phone calls, about the decision to not report Pacific data in the Annual report on the 
Child and Youth Wellbeing Strategy and Child Poverty Related Indicators, released in 
April this year.  
 
For clarity, I would like all advice and correspondence internally, with other agencies, 
and with Ministers and their offices.” 
 
I believe the information you have requested is more closely connected with the functions of 
the  Ministry  of  Social  Development  (MSD).  Accordingly,  I  have  decided  to  transfer  your 
request, in full, to the Ministry of Social Development under section 14(b)(ii) of the Act. 
 
MSD has the usual timeframes under the Act from receipt of this transfer to make a decision
