The figures above are loans to enable RAL to operate while in voluntary administration, liquidation, and
receivership. This excludes an additional $7 million loan that Cabinet agreed to in March 2024, for RAL to
operate over the 2024 ski season. This is because the funding has not yet been paid.
Please note the primary costs relating to the voluntary administration, receivership, and liquidation of
RAL are incurred by RAL. MBIE does not hold a breakdown of these costs, it only holds a record of
amounts paid by the Crown to RAL.
