I refer to your official information request dated 3 May 2024 regarding a Queen Street safety audit. 
 
Quay St cycleway was original y instal ed in 2016 as an interim facility and as a standalone project. The 
cycleway was subsequently made permanent and fully integrated into the Quay St Enhancement project 
completed between 2019-2021. 
 
Safety audits were completed at the stage 3 - Design Phase and also stage 4 – Post Construction. 
No traffic count was stated in either audit. 
 
We trust this clarifies your request, but should you believe that we have not dealt with your request 
appropriately, you are able to make a complaint to the Office of the Ombudsman in accordance with section 
27(3) of the LGOIMA Act and seek an investigation and review in regard to this matter.
