Local Government Official Information Request – Notification of Decision 
We refer to your Request for information under the Local Government Official Information and 
Meetings Act 1987 (LGOIMA)  regarding  documentation relating to contracts that have been 
developed with Joyce Advisory or Steven Joyce which was received by the Bay of Plenty Regional 
Council (Council) on 14 May 2024 and acknowledged by Council on the same date (Request). 
Council has now made a decision on your Request and has decided to supply the information 
requested and do so in summary form in accordance with section 15(1)(e) of the LGOIMA as 
below:  
Council has entered one contract with Joyce Advisory Limited for the supply of 
professional services.  This contract is current and commenced on 1 December 
2023 with an expiry date of 31 August 2024.  The contract is on Council’s standard 
terms subject to minor amendments which were negotiated with the provider. The 
services which are provided pursuant to this contract are advisory services 
specifically in relation to the potential divestment of strategic assets of Council.  To 
date, Council has paid to Joyce Advisory Limited $9,297.50 (excl GST) pursuant 
to this contract.
