INFORMATION REQUEST
On 22 May 2024 you asked for communications about the ‘Love Tauranga’ campaign. Here
is our response to your questions:
I kindly request any TCC communications since Jan 2024 in any form with
anyone related to Urban Taskforce, Priority One and/or Tauranga Business
Chamber regarding the Urban Taskforce's Love Tauranga / #lovetauranga
campaign to influence Tauranga local elections?
We attach two email chains involving the Urban Task Force and council’s General
Manager: City Development and Partnerships relating to the ‘Love Tauranga’ brand
launch. We have withheld the names and contact details of three people under section
7(2)(a) of LGOIMA1
withholding is necessary to protect the privacy of natural persons
including that of deceased natural persons.
In late February/early March, the Urban Task Force contacted council’s Manager of
Strategic Property by phone asking if it would be willing to provide any project or event
related imagery for use on the ‘Love Tauranga’ Instagram page. We verbally declined
to provide imagery for the page.
